Ring of Hope Boxing Clubs are currently open in multiple DFW neighborhoods with plans to open more. We have many opportunities for leaders in our community to get involved in our clubs. Our mentorship program consists of 4 key positions; Club Admin, Head Coach, Boxing Coach, and Spirit Coach. Club hours are between 5-8pm Monday-Friday. If you would like to get involved and start mentoring the youth in your community please fill out the application below and our Leadership Team will contact you.

LEADERSHIP ROLES

CLUB ADMIN

Manages basic administrative functions to ensure Ring of Hope Club operates at high level of excellence.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Opens and closes gym and maintains basic facility upkeep
  • Organizes individual files for Ring of Hope students and reports any/all incidents
  • Manages background check process for all Ring of Hope leaders
  • Ensures volunteers are updated on all Ring of Hope Policies/Procedures
  • Submits Weekly Report to Regional Director of Club activities
  • Tracks student report cards and coordinates tutoring for those in need

  • Entry level administrative skills

HEAD COACH

Runs club programming and ensures workouts are conducted in an efficient, safe, and timely manner.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Walks gym daily and ensures safe and clean environment for staff, students, and volunteers
  • Monitors all in attendance while maintaining Rules of Engagement and Athlete Code of Conduct
  • Understands foundation and fundamentals of our training program
  • Ensures Volunteers are trained and have necessary skills to work with student athletes
  • Up to date with Ring of Hope Boxing policies and keeps track of ROH Student Program Levels and Personal Fitness
  • Ensures daily routine stays on schedule

BOXING COACH

Teaches and trains Ring of Hope Boxing Curriculum to each student in both group and individual settings.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Teaches and trains Ring of Hope Boxing Program, and schedules Level Tests with student-athletes who qualify
  • Monitors all Sparring Sessions and ensures student-athletes have necessary boxing equipment for nightly activities
  • Ensures student-athletes who compete on Ring of Hope’s Amateur Boxing Team are certified with USA Boxing
  • Schedules amateur bouts and coordinates travel to and from USA boxing events/sparring

  • USA Boxing Certified (TBD)
  • Passion for serving youth

SPIRIT COACH

In charge of the spiritual care and feeding of the gym by leading and delegating nightly 15 min Spirit Talks.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Leads nightly (Monday–Friday) 15 min Spirit Talk to start off the night
  • Facilitates Spiritual conversations with students and shares from life experiences and biblical answers
  • Models personal discipline and maintains appropriate comradery at the club
  • Develops and maintains appropriate mentoring relationship with each of the students
  • Delegates Spirit Talk responsibilities when unable to lead and coordinates with guest speakers and leadership
  • Aids other coaches in boxing programming and fitness training
